It has been a rough morning. After spending time with Chris Pirillo, I have been thinking a lot about his recent vblog about Steve Jobs, and everything that is going on with his health. There have been a lot of claims that Steve Jobs is terminally ill and only has 6 weeks to live. A lot of these posts have been by non-credible sources but none the less he has taken his 3rd leave of health sense 2004 when he was being treated for Pancreatic Cancer. I got pretty upset this morning because this is a figure that has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with Apple at home, as my mom worked for a few companies that made Apple hardware components, and she was a regular at Macworld for many years. I knew of Steve Jobs and Wozniak from a very young age, and would flip through Macworld Magazine countless numbers of times when other kids where watching Nick Jr and reading comic books. Every January my mom would come home from San Francisco and give me Macworld t-shirts, Apple posters, buttons, pens and anything else that she could bring back. I would wear the shirts to school on a regular basis and hang the posters in my room. Apple was everywhere and by far the best way to describe myself.
It’s 70 degrees outside in Kansas in the middle of February…And I’m sad.

They inspired me to NOT work on Apple computers
LOL that is alright too. I mean earlier I was thinking about how much different the System Admin job would be if Apple would have never been around. If there was no Apple, Microsoft would be completely different. Who knows what Technology would be like without the huge players like Jobs and Gates and Torvalds and Stallman.
